This time around attempting to break up the foreground and background using values. The foreground has the full range of values with greater contrasts, and the background mountains use a high key set of values, meaning a compressed set of values from the lighter spectrum. The use of dark versus light and high contrast versus low contrast helps to create a sense of distance and space in the painting.
